AI literacy is Digital literacy

DemystifyAI is a grassroots Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital literacy initiative based in Chicago. We aim to make AI more accessible to the everyday community member. Our mission is to empower communities with the knowledge and skills to engage safely and confidently with today's digital society. We create curriculum for adult learners.

We partner with community/non-profit organizations to deliver workshops tailored to their individual communities and develop curriculum/resources that integrate into their existing digital inclusion offerings. Although each community is different, and may differ in how it relates to AI, we hope our resources can empower learners of all backgrounds.

How We Work

  1. Meet with Organization

    Assess the digital literacy needs of their community members and the organization’s digital infrastructure. Then, create a plan together for how DemystifyAI can support your goals.

  2. Co-design and Co-deliver

    Regular meetings with the organization as we create relevant workshop/class materials. We will support you in delivering the resources and measuring outcomes.

  3. Debrief and Re-iterate

    Together, we will review how the workshop went/was received and what we could improve for next time. DemystifyAI is committed to open-sourcing our work, so we are happy to have you re-use what we build together - please let us know if you do!
